100 % GIS-based, it integrates all the information in a single view

GIS and integrated GPS collection: advanced and yet easy-to-use features will allow you to record GPS location information as you go, georeference your pictures and field notations, map features & test pit locations, and draw soil mapping lines and other landscape features during fieldwork on a background of air photos, topographic maps and AutoCAD drawing files.

Simplify information exchange and reporting for expedited delivery

Import and export from AutoCAD and GIS Shape file formats and automate the exchange and sharing of information via the internet trough centralized databases.
Standard and customizable printer-ready reports, maps and tables will allow you to deliver data with high quality, in a fraction of the time of traditional methods.

GeoAgro brought this idea to other soil scientists, and found that it could meet similar needs of many members of the Soil Science Society of America (SSSA) and the National Society of Consulting Soil Scientists (NSCSS). The leadership of these organizations has pledged to provide feedback for furthering the development of this software to support their activities.

GeoAgro Collector will be demonstrated at the upcoming, ASA-CSSA-SSSA International Annual Meetings in New Orleans, LA, from NOvember 4th through November 8th, 2007; we hope to meet you there.

If you would like to contribute to the development and fine tuning of GeoAgro Collector, please contact us to be part of the Beta Testing Program.

The concept for this innovation originated in July 2006 at the World Congress of Soil Science in Philadelphia, PA, when Laurel F. Mueller, Consulting Soil Scientist and president of Soil Services Company, Inc. met the software designers of GeoAgro while representing the National Society of Consulting Soil Scientists (NSCSS) at an exhibit booth. She expressed her desire for a software tool that meets many needs in her soil science business:

"I want to remove huge delays between field data collection and finalization of client reports and agency submissions. For all consulting soil scientists, the learning curve to get acquainted with GPS and GIS keeps many business owners from incorporating this amazing technology into their operations. I dream of eliminating my muddy, crumpled soil description notes and wind-torn maps and plans from the process of turning field work into finished reports. This would save me months of backlog, add to the precision of my field work, and yield huge profits."
